He is a worthy son, inheriting literary disposition from his talented father Late Dr. Hira Lall Chopra, M.A., (Punjab), D. Litt. (Tehran).Mr. Chopra had a brilliant academic career throughout culminating in his getting First-Class First in M.A., in Islamic History of Culture, from Calcutta University in 1956. His love for things Punjabi and fondness for Punjabiyat is proverbial. He is a prolific writer and has contributed many articles in Indian and foreign journals on topics of general interest. He has authored over a dozen learned books in which are The Legacy of the Punjab, The Punjab and Bengal, Great SufiPoets of the Punjab and The Philosophical and Religious Thought of Sikhism, Hinduism Today, Glory of Sikhism, The Rise, Groth decline of Indo-Persion Literature, Great Poets of Classical Persian, A Study of Religions, Sufism and others.Mr. Chopra is a widely travelled man in India and aborad. He has travelled in the USA, England, France and Iran.
