Product Details

Collecting quotes and misquotes has always fascinated me and has been my hobby ever since I was very young. They have been reflected in my paradigms and values. In school and college days, they were from Panjabi, Persian, Urdu and English writers and poets. The source of Panjabi quotes was stories and traditions which got encapsulated as quotes. They were handed down orally, generation to generation and got engrained into my consciousness by hearing them over and over again.By the time I left Government College, Lahore, my collection covered three notebooks. Unfortunately they were all left behind in Pakistan. But my interest in this hobby has not flagged. In the last few years, I have been saving them and interesting anecdotes in my laptop. I have made liberal use of World Wide Web in this endeavour. Many friends and family members have contributed by suggesting their favorite quotes, thoughts and tips.Quotations are used for a variety of reasons: to support an argument, to pay homage, as a means of inspiration or to invoke a stream of thoughts in the minds of listeners or readers. They are often used in diaries, calendars, newspapers and magazines for entertainment or inspiration. They may be adages, aphorisms, clichés, epigrams, maxims or proverbs. Some use them in their visiting card for spreading their beliefs, views and ideas.
