Rashmi Samant

Rashmi Samant is an entrepreneur, activist and student leader who created history by being first female Indian to be elected President of the esteemed Oxford University Student Union. Her remarkable victory was achieved by a historic turnout and an overwhelming margin. Her campaign, which called for the decolonisation of the university, was truly ground-breaking, symbolising the growing accessibility and inclusivity at Oxford. however, Rashmi’s treatment following her victory was marred by racism, intolerance, the stereotyping of indigenous people, and cancel culture, symbolising a vicious woke culture hindering free-speech in premier institutions worldwide. Having overcome the challenges, Rashmi continues to be a prominent advocate for Human Rights of persecuted Hindus through her work with media organisations, columns with leading dailies, Human Rights think-tanks, governments, and through her non-profit foundation, ATMAH. Her unwavering dedication to promoting the rights of persecuted Hindus and other indigenous peoples across the world, was also highlighted by her presentation of a Human Rights Report on majoritarian violence in the House of Commons at the British Parliament. since graduating from Oxford, Rashmi serves as the Executive Director of the Punarnava Group in India.
