ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- 

Chandni Sengupta is a Historian, Author, and Political Analyst who currently teaches online for Southern New Hampshire University, USA, as an adjunct faculty. She is the author of Reclaiming Hindu Temples: Episodes from an Oppressive Era, published by Garuda Prakashan in 2021. Having earned a PhD in History from the Indira Gandhi National Open University, an MA in History from the University of Delhi, and a BA Honours in History from the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Chandni also completed a PG Diploma in Folklore and Culture Studies from IGNOU and was awarded the University Gold Medal. 

Chandni has previously taught History at Asian Law College, Noida, as an Associate Professor and as Assistant Professor at NMIMS, Hyderabad, following her long teaching tenure with Amity School of Liberal Arts, Amity University Haryana. In the course of a professional career spanning over a decade, she has worked with two leading non-governmental organizations in New Delhi—Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage and The Energy and Resources Institute, besides the Public Policy Research Centre, New Delhi, as Senior Research Fellow. 

A keen researcher, Chandni has a number of international academic publications to her credit in the fields of history, politics, Indian philosophy, religious institutions, culture, and heritage. As an ardent observer of national and international politics, she has been a regular contributor to numerous online newspapers, blogs, and magazines. Besides several national and international conferences, seminars, faculty development programmes, and workshops, Chandni remains engaged with historical and contemporary issues as a guest speaker at a number of conclaves.

Chandni resides in Delhi and her hobbies include travelling, reading, and music.
